The PT-300 Pocket Continuity Tester & Toner from Jonard Tools is very accurate for distances up to 5,000 feet (1,500 m). It can detect troublesome short circuits and can identify cables in an MDU with a loud tone. It has clear indicators for when usage and battery replacement. The built-in on/off switch also helps extend battery life.
