Hardware Solutions by SYBA

SYBA produces a wide variety of electronic components and other products that can provide numerous solutions for a plethora of projects. Today we’d like to introduce some of their PC-related components which may be useful for a variety of different applications.

The first piece of hardware we’d like to introduce to you is the SY-MRA55006 Dual Bay 2.5" and 3.5" hard drive/solid-state drive mobile rack. This tool-free, hot-swappable hard drive bay takes the place of any available 5.25" bay in your PC chassis, allowing users to add additional storage to their systems if their chassis has reached its limit for 2.5" and 3.5" disk drives. Since the 5.25" bays on a PC chassis are traditionally located on the front panel of the chassis, the additional drive bays are easily accessible. Further utility is provided by the 2 included USB 3.0 ports on the Dual Bay. Connecting the Dual Bay’s internal drive bays and USB 3.0 ports is straight forward, making us of industry standard USB 3.0 headers and SATA III-compliant power and data connectors which are compatible with any compliant motherboard or expansion card.

If your PC chassis doesn’t have a 5.25" bay available, the SY-MRA25036 may provide yet another solution for increasing your system’s physical capacity for storage drives. The SY-MRA25036 features dual 2.5" bays which allow for up to two 2.5" disk drives to be used simultaneously in a standard 3.5" hard drive tray in a PC chassis. This dual 2.5" to 3.5" converter can accommodate drives up to 9.5mm thick with the ability to configure the installed disk drives in JBOD, RAID 0, RAID1, or NOR depending on the user’s preference.

Next up are a pair of converters that convert HDMI® to VGA and vice versa. The SY-ADA31044 (pictured left) is an HDMI® to VGA adapter that converts a non-HDCP HDMI® signal into a VGA + audio output, supporting up to 1920x1200 at 60 Hertz. This adapter is a great solution for using an older display with modern equipment.

On the flip side, the SD-ADA31040 (pictured right) converts a VGA + audio signal into a compatible HDMI® signal for use with modern displays that may not feature a VGA-in connection, supporting VGA signals ranging from 800x600 up to 1680x1050 and 1920x1080.

The last SYBA product we’d like to feature is the SY-CSE53001 Casecom Halcones full-tower chassis. This PC chassis is fully-featured with support for motherboards up to XL-ATX, multiple cooling fans, water-cooling, an integrated fan controller, integrated 2.5"/3.5" disk drive docking bay, and plenty of room for expanding your system to include multiple disk drives and expansion cards. The Halcones is a great start for any serious workstation or gaming system build with its tool-less design for disk drives, and interior design to promote optimal airflow for components. We’ve done a few builds for customers with this chassis already, and have been greatly pleased by the options provided by the Halcones.

SYBA and its vast product portfolio can be found at all of our retail locations and as well as our online store. If you have any questions regarding products to fit your specific project’s needs or have any general questions about PC hardware, feel free to contact us or stop by your local Altex.
