Computer equipment can contain lead and other toxic materials that can damage the environment if disposed of improperly. Recycling processes allow some of these materials to be removed from old equipment and used again in creating the next generation of computers. These processes are also helping to reduce the cost of these materials - and the price you will pay for new equipment. It does pay to recycle.

Altex Branded Computer Recycling - at all Altex stores
At all Altex store locations throughout Texas, we will accept Altex Branded computer equipment for recycling. This is only for equipment with the Altex brand label on it - or equipment which was included as part of an Altex system. Currently, we are not able to accept other brands of computers and equipment for recycling at all store locations.

San Antonio Store Computer Recycling

In San Antonio, Altex has partnered with Goodwill Industries of San Antonio to recycle computers through their Recycle Partner Program. Under this program, donated equipment will be refurbished or properly recycled. All 3 of our San Antonio stores are authorized donation stations for recycled computers. During normal store hours, we accept computers and related peripherals, such as:
