Cable Installation Position Available Now!

Altex is expanding its Cable Install Department due to increased growth and has an immediate opportunity for a reliable and experienced Cable Installer-Technician to work in the San Antonio area. Desirable candidate will install, troubleshoot and modify new and existing network, audio/video, voice and surveillance system cabling for home, school or business.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with team to provide all on-site installation services offered by Altex.
• Install/Pull voice, audio/video and data cable in buildings, communications closets and outdoors.
• Terminate and punchdown of cabling in accordance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot problems with existing systems and suggest solutions.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of current computer, networking, audio/video, voice and surveillance system hardware and connectivity solutions.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding and man lifts.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and in seasonal temperature ranges.
• Possess a Positive attitude and friendly customer service skills
